Dr. Michael Patty, LAcMichael has been in practice for almost 20 years. Before starting on his path of healing, Dr. Patty spent 22 years working for the Forest Service and Soil Conservation Service in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Living in Sheridan for the past 12 years, he sees a clientele of more than 750. Using a unique combination of treatments, including acupuncture, herbs, Tuina and Shakujyu Chiryo (Japanese style acupuncture), Michael gives his clients an hour-long treatment that is personalized just for them. Michael has recently graduated with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. Previous to this degree, Dr. Patty earned his Master’s Degree from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver, Colorado. After graduating 1999, he was an assistant clinic supervisor at CSTCM and also taught Tuina and Tai Chi at Sheridan College for several years. Dr. Patty remembers the first time he saw the power and speed that acupuncture can have for healing, “a patient walked in with a cane and was experiencing double vision, dizziness and stiffness from a stroke. With one scalp treatment he could see clearly and walked out without using his cane.” Michael also believes that the Acupuncture profession can unite and grow. With practitioners working together, our profession can become a meaningful part of the current western medical system and recognized by workers compensation and insurance companies. |
