BYLAWS OF THE WYOMING ACUPUNCTURE SOCIETY

ARTICLE I – NAME AND PURPOSE

Section I – Name
The name of the organization shall be “WYOMING ACUPUNCTURE SOCIETY”, hereinafter referred to as “The Society” or “WAS”.

Section II – Incorporation
The Society is incorporated as a tax-exempt 501(c)6 entity in the State of Wyoming.

Section III – Purpose
The Wyoming Acupuncture Society has been founded for the following purposes:
A. To create a meeting place for Wyoming acupuncturists;
B. To share knowledge, ideas and concerns about acupuncture, Oriental Medicine and related therapies between members; C. To actively monitor, promote and support positive legislation regarding acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the State of Wyoming;
D. To promulgate and uphold standards of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine education, standards of practice and professional ethics.
E. To educate the general public about acupuncture and Oriental Medicine;
F. To encourage the integration of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine into the American health care system and promote access to same for all citizens in the State of Wyoming.
G. To support and encourage national health care goals that are congruent with the Wyoming Acupuncture Society goals;
H. To support and encourage continuing education of acupuncturists, and
​I. To promote research in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
