Chris Dewey, DACM LAcChris Dewey, LAc is a man of many talents and in his own words, “The drive to move into the Oriental Medicine field was stimulated by my life as a scientist, artist, philosopher, poet, entrepreneur, life coach, martial artist, geologist and a life-long learner.”
Now practicing in Laramie, Chris offers a wide variety of services from multiple styles of acupuncture, Tuina, Taiji and Medical Qi Gong to Professional life coaching and Nutritional coaching. Chris says his ideal clients take a holistic view of health and wellness and are committed to finding optimal well-being in mind, body and spirit. Areas in which Chris specializes include, but are not limited to: Stress Reduction, Emotional Well-Being, Pain Resolution, Musculo-skeletal injury, Neurological issues and Allergies. Prior to beginning his acupuncture practice in 2016, Chris followed his passion to become a geology professor and retired from academic life in his mid-fifties. Pursuing other passions like nature photography, poetry and martial arts led him to the practice of Chinese Medicine. “If you think about martial arts for a moment, you will come to the realization that learning 'self-defense' is about three things that transcend the notion of combat: i) protecting life, ii) spiritual, mental and physical health and well-being, and iii) more than anything it is about service and compassion. It was natural that the desire to learn about Oriental Medicine grew very quickly once I began the martial arts journey.” Chris also has a passion for being of service. He says he loves what he does and has throughout his life, proving the adage, ‘do what you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.’ |
