Alisha Bynum, LAc “I LOVE MY JOB. Does it get better than helping people in a place you love, while listening to old country tunes?” Alish Bynum, MSOM, L.Ac. is a seasoned acupuncturist and herbalist who specialized in pain relief, women’s health and emotional wellness. She has been working since 2013 as an acupuncturist in Wyoming. As a rural practitioner she has treated everything from allergies to getting kicked by a heifer.
Alisha graduated at the top of her class in Graphic Design at Montana State University and advanced from designer to creative director within a few short years. After 10 years of marketing and design, she was inspired to pursue the study of acupuncture after the loss of a close friend. Alicia saw the lack of palliative and natural health care resources after her friend became ill, this led to a shift in focus from fine art to the healing arts. Using a synergy between creativity and care, Alisha applies communication and problem solving skills to serve her patients compassionately, concisely and creatively. Her goal is to create genuine and positive changes in her patients’ lives. Over the last spring and summer Alisha worked with 4 women concerning fertility issues that resulted in 4 pregnancies. “Helping to grow families is one of the greatest joys of my job.” A Wyoming native, Alisha has lived in Montana, Colorado, Texas and travelled the globe including Central America, Canada and Europe. But she has always returned home, finding she can’t shake her unbridled love of the Wyoming life, landscape and the hard-working, down-to-earth folks who live here. Alisha graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in 2013 with a Master’s of Oriental Medicine degree. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Formally the secretary, she is now Vice President of the Wyoming Acupuncture Society, which has been key to passing state regulatory law and perpetuation the practice of acupuncture throughout Wyoming. If you don’t find Alisha in her office, you might see her out on Wyoming’s back roads-exploring and meeting folks. She likes to fly fish, hike, ride horses and paddle board-anything that gets her outside. |
